The Geneva Historical Society is located in the famous Prouty-Chew House on South Main St. The refurbished home and museum depict the lifestyle of a prominent family living in mid-19th-century Geneva. The interior of the home retains its Federal era details in the front parlor and dining room. The house also includes a Victorian Parlor with furnishings reflective of the decorative taste prevalent in the second half of the 19th century when the home was enlarged and modernized. There are rotating exhibits throughout the year, lectures and children's programs. In additiona, the Geneva Historical Society oversees the management and care of the Rose Hill Mansion, the Johnston House and Balmanno Cottage. All historic properties of families who wer instrumental in the history of Geneva. A great day of family fun.
